Estate and Asset Protection Planning for Retirement Benefits
Edwin P. Morrow III, JD, LL.M. (tax), MBA, CFP®, RFC, Director of Wealth Transfer and Tax Planning for Key Private Bank Family Wealth Advisory Services
This advanced program will explain the differences and overlap among bankruptcy, federal (ERISA) and state law protections for retirement benefits, and how these protections may be lost or augmented through various techniques and strategies. Attendees will explore when - and how - protection can be maintained or increased without impairing the maximum tax benefit or the estate plan for the owner and their intended beneficiaries.
Ed Morrow is Director of Wealth Transfer and Tax Planning Strategies for the Key Private Bank Family Wealth Group. Before joining KeyBank, he was in private law practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a board certified specialist in Ohio in estate planning and trust law and has published several articles on tax and asset protection planning for Leimberg Information Services, Trusts and Estates, and other publications.
